Oahu East Coast Jeep Cruise
Oil on Metal
20"x 30"
This painting is the first piece I painted on the Island. I painted it in two stages, the first while I came to visit for the first time. this was the most detailed and complex piece done with only spray cans. the second stage was after I permanently moved to the island and brought all my oil paints. I used straight out of the tube paint to glaze over the spray paint. The spray paint I used is oil based. I gave it to my sister as a christmas gift. It is an expression of how I felt when I drove around the east coast of the Island for the first time, and a representation of one of the reasons why I decided to move to Hawaii. It is also a portrait of my sister's Jeep.
